Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV
[5] Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; [6] In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Beloved,
As we round up this series about trust in God, I will provide some some steps to take to grow your trust in God.
The most important key to growing your trust in God is to kanow Him. Like it was said earlier in the series, intimacy is a big part of trust. You can not trust someone you hardly know. The more you know God, the more you will come to trust. You need to understand the character of God. Malachi 3:6 tells us that He does not change. This verse is enough to assure you of the reliability and trustworthiness of God.
To know God, you must study His word. It is in His word that you will see what He has said concerning Himself. You must also have a personal altar, a place where you regularly meet with the Lord. Your trust in God is deepened in this place of fellowship.
Beloved, let the Holy Spirit help you to remember. Remember the faithfulness of God. Remember how He promised and did not disappoint. Remember how He has never left you without help. Let the remembrance of His faithfulness make you trust Him all the more.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
