Psalms 127:3-5 NKJV
[3] Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward. [4] Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. [5] Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.
Beloved,
The scripture above says that children are like arrows are in the hand of a warrior. Another verse of the Bible says
Proverbs 22:6 AMPC
Train up a child in the way he should go [and in keeping with his individual gift or bent], and when he is old he will not depart from it.
From these verses, we can surmise that children are arrows and they must be prepared accordingly. Raise up your children as arrows. Don’t raise them to be weaklings who easily back out in the face of challenges. Train them to have a staying power. An arrow goes to make an impact where the warrior himself cannot get to. Raise your children to be able to deliver a message as you would even on platforms where you may never reach.
The mighty is the one who prepares and releases the potential of the arrow. Be someone who inputs the right values into your children. The accuracy of the arrow largely depends on the accuracy of the shooter. Therefore, it is your duty as a parent to develop your own self and capabilities and have the right values so you can impart same to your arrows.
Prepare the arrow to feel comfortable in your hands. Develop your children to understand everything you communicate. Your children must be comfortable to spend time with you. Prepare your children to be in your quiver among your other arrows. Help your child to be comfortable to be with and share with others, especially their siblings.
Shape your arrow for the required speed, impact, and accuracy they need in life. Send your arrow out at the right time, aiming it go as far as necessary.
Next time, will will talk about the tools necessary to prepare your arrows.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
