Proverbs 6:23 CEV
The Law of the Lord is a lamp, and its teachings shine brightly. Correction and self-control will lead you through life.
Beloved,
The difference between a river and a flood is the presence or absence of control. The one who has self-control can make the most out of any situation. Without self-control, not much is guaranteed. A man that will be effective in life must govern himself in the following aspects of life:
- Gain control over your time. Maximize packets of your time. Track what you are doing with your time down to the minute.
- Control your sexual urges and appetites, Proverbs 7:25 TPT.
- Control your tongue and your emotions, Proverbs 13:3 TPT; Proverbs 19:11 GNT. Do not stumble by your words or unbridled emotions.
Do the following to gain and maintain self-control:
- Learn to regulate your heart, your will and your emotions, Proverbs 16:23 GW.
- Take control of your choices before the event happens, or you may end up like Cain in Genesis 4:6-7. Cain allowed anger to dominate his heart and he ended up becoming a murderer because he did not deal with it.
- Learn how to apply wisdom and understanding to any situation you may find yourself, Proverbs 17:17 AMP.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
