Acts 2:17-18
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, ‘That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Your young men shall see visions. Your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants, I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.”
Beloved,
Have you ever wondered why God said, “I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh” and not, “I will pour out my Spirit on all spirits?” After all, God is Spirit, is He not? The answer lies in our understanding of the term “pour out” or “outpouring”. We can tell by the sentence structure alone, that “pouring” is clearly not the same as “pouring out” or “outpouring”. Outpouring reflects a drenching or an intentional release of something to the point it fully covers or has significant impact on another. Outpouring does not communicate a mere dipping or sprinkling, it is implies complete immersion.
We are made in the image of God. This truth means that we should look like Him inside and out. The system God has in place for moments when we His children are not reflecting His glory is the outpouring of His Holy Spirit. When we are too dry, that is, when our spirit man starts to wither, we need an outpouring of His Spirit.
An outpouring of God is a phenomenon that represents God’s original intention of giving without withholding. John, the Beloved, said this:
John 3:34 NKJV
[34] For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.
Outpouring is God’s action to break new ground and/or stopping the move of hell on the earth. We need outpouring in our lives wherever there is severe lack or demonic operations. May our minds and hearts be ready for an outpouring wherever it is needed.
I commend you to God and the Word of His grace. I call you BLESSED and NATIONS
