DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

Acts 2:17-18
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, ‘That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Your young men shall see visions. Your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants, I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.”

Beloved,
I have shared with us that the outpouring of the Spirit of God is required for dry spaces and spirits. I explained such outpour is not the norm. God reserves it for critical times, according to His discretion.

It is not productive to build your spiritual life around the expectation of daily outpouring. Beloved, if you are born again, and especially if you have received the gift of His Holy Spirit as evidenced by speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:4, Acts 10:44-46, Acts 19:6), then please know that He has already poured His Spirit upon you, and it is your job to stay moisturized. How can you do this? You must condition your heart.

Luke 8:6 describes a man’s heart that was exposed to God’s word, yet he remained in the same state he was in before he was ever exposed to God’s word. Meanwhile, verse 13 describes a man who receives His word and does so with pleasure and excitement, but he could not sustain it beyond a temporary emotional state. In both of these cases, Jesus highlights the condition of their hearts resulting in them never getting to the place of seeing the manifestation of the power of God’s word at work in their lives. Jesus explains to us that the reason so many people never get to see God’s word working for them is the same reason some seeds fails to germinate, blossom and bloom: lack of moisture.

Spirit recognizes spirit. When your spirit man is weak, it lacks the ability to do much of anything at all, including connecting to the Spirit of the living God through His word.  Much like a seed, you must be willing and able to surrender yourself to the process of germination or transformation necessary for your deliverance or breakthrough. A life that lacks “moisture” lacks the inclination to confess or speak God’s word. It won’t speak the word of God or meditate on it long enough to believe it or develop faith for it. It’s my prayer that you will not have to wait for outpouring before choosing to build a habit of reading and living by the word of God. This way you can enjoy outpouring for your new level or to impact nations.  Enjoy the overflow of His Spirit. Make living by His word with the indwelling of His Spirit your standard.

I commend you to God and the Word of His grace. I call you BLESSED and NATIONS
