Acts 2:17-18
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, ‘That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Your young men shall see visions. Your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants, I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.”
Beloved,
Rumors of wars, strange sicknesses and lawless leaders… much of what many of us all over the world are experiencing mirrors symptoms of the “last days” as described in scripture. We said last time, that it is dry times such as these that God said He will pour out His Spirit upon. Let’s look at some other examples of when outpouring from God Almighty is needed according to His written Word. For starters, the Prophet Isaiah informed us…
Isaiah 59:19b
“…When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.”
Every time there is a massive attack from Satan, God’s standard only needs to be lifted and that demonic attack will fail, to God’s glory. Nothing the devil is or can do, no matter how bad, nasty or deadly measures up to God’s standard. God can always do much worse. Or better, we should say. Anything Satan ever does is only a weaker, lesser copy, at best. John the Beloved, in the book of Revelation cites….
Revelations 12:15-17
“So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.”
In both scriptures, we see floods associated with violent, demonic moves. Floods always overtake whatever is In their path. In other words, whatever the devil is doing, it is large enough to overtake an entire land, talk less of a human being and his or her entire destiny. Beloved, our God is greater. Please rest, and rest assured that anything the devil is doing, God has already done better and greater. The outpouring of His Spirit is a ready force against every dry ground, or attack of hell. Wherever there is dry ground, it’s either time for a higher ground or its time to break ground. God’s outpouring overtakes minds and spirits of men so they might enjoy the chance for renewal of mind.
Whenever we need more than just rain to come down from heaven, know without doubt that God, in His mercy, is already coming with outpour. Victory is already won. You only need to receive it, enjoy it, and steward it well. You will, in Jesus/ name.
