Acts 20:24
“But I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and the task that the Lord Jesus has given me to accomplish.”
Beloved,
We said last time that to get things done on the earth God uses man. God needs man, but He will not use just any man. When it comes to assignment fulfilment, you are not doing God a favor. Every God-ordained assignment must make you better.
It pains me to see people supposedly working for God. They brag about it. Some even work relentlessly, sincerely, but there is nothing to show for it. They are living a lesser life and making lesser impact on the earth than the non-believer. This not okay. for the Bible says:
1 Corinthians 7:17, NIV
“Nevertheless, each person should live as a believer in whatever situation the Lord has assigned to them, just as God has called them. This is the rule I lay down in all the churches.”
If you have been doing your assignment in God’s kingdom, there is a way it makes you better. If this is not the case, you must ask yourself the following:
- Are you truly fulfilling your assignment? If the answer is yes, yet there is no fruit…
- Are you fulfilling your assignment correctly? If the answer is yes, yet there is no fruit…
- Are you fulfilling the wrong assignment?
Get back to the place of prayer. Whatever thing you know God called you to do or that has been assigned to you by your God ordained pastor or mentor, get back to you and be relentless about it. Evaluate. Have you been working your assignment as unto the Lord?
Colossians 3:23-24
“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; you serve the Lord Christ.”
Ensure you are fulfilling your God ordained assignment. Serve the Lord and serve Him well.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
