Genesis 18: 2, 6
2 So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing by him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground
6 So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, “Quickly, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead it and make cakes.”
Beloved,
Many times, when we are expecting the move of God, we are not necessarily ready for how He will do it. God is sovereign, and he usually answers our prayers in ways that are beyond our imagination. Hence, we must be well guarded, highly sensitive, and open minded so that we do not miss divine moves. Abraham and Sarah had prayed and were expecting God to give them a child. God decided to answer their prayers by paying them a visit. Three men showed up in front of Abraham’s house and he called unto them. If Abraham had not been sensitive enough to acknowledge their presence, he would have missed the divine visitation which was synonymous to the answer to their prayer.
Abraham asked the three men to allow him to entertain them. The oneness between Abraham and Sarah helped them to do this without wasting time. When Abraham asked Sarah to cook for the visitors, she obeyed without questioning. Many couples have not received what they are praying for because of lack of unity in the home. Many Christian homes are still struggling with the word of God that says that men should love the wives and women should submit to their own husbands.
As an individual, you must be ready for what you are waiting for. Learn to recognize divine visitations and respond accordingly. You must be ready to use your resources in response to divine moves even when you are not sure about what the returns will be. When you are dealing with God, be assured that God will not owe you. If you invest or give to God, your reward is bound to surpass your imagination.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
