Proverb 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it.
Beloved,
Children are the heritage of the Lord. They are entrusted to our care by God. Children must be consciously trained under divine guidance. Training children is an art. It requires different approaches and processes. Children must be trained in the consciousness of the desired end product.
The blueprint of each child’s future is with God. Hence, each parent must seek God to find out what their children must become and train them accordingly. Some trainings are general to every child while some are specific to individual destinies.
Providing structure is fundamental to training children. Structure involves defining w hat the children can do, when they can do them and how to do them. Many parents shy away from this because it takes a lot of effort and discipline to create and enforce structure. Children will be formed and molded based on the structure they live by. While you are trying to figure out the whole art of training children, start by establishing structure for them.
