Mark 11:22-24 NKJV
So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. [23] For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. [24] Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Beloved,
Today, I will address the place of faith in prayer. You have heard people say that prayer changes things. Let me quickly state some facts:
Prayer must first change us if we will have a sustained effect of prayer on situations. The Bible says that the appearance of His face was altered. This means that literally everything should change when we pray.
Now it came to pass, about eight days after these sayings, that He took Peter, John, and James and went up on the mountain to pray. [29] As He prayed, the appearance of His face was altered, and His robe became white and glistening.
Luke 9:28-29 NKJV
Prayer offered in faith changes situation. If prayer on it’s own changes things, then we could have been seeing better results in many under-developed nations. Prayer is a medium through which we express our faith in God and His power. It is the faith that we release while we pray that connects us to God, and triggers God’s power. It is God’s power that eventually changes things.
Therefore, work on your faith life. Learn to present your faith in God as you present your need before Him. As a matter of fact, God knows about your need. For most part, He is not expecting you to talk to Him about your need, He expects you to present your faith. That is what He needs to know. It is your faith that triggers God’s power to work for you.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
