DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

Proverbs‬ ‭14:12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
There is a way that  seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.

Beloved,
In the next few days, I would like for us to look into how we can avoid the fall of destiny. The goal of the devil is to pull a man from grace to grass. Thing that pull men from grace to grass are usually things that grew with them from grass to grace. This fact calls for some self-examination. Look into your life to see what is currently growing with you. If they are things that have the potential to drag you down in the future, wisdom says you must get rid of them now.

Destiny falls are avoidable to a large extent. One major way to avoid a fall of destiny is to protect your innocence and be careful of the people you open yourself up to. In Genesis 3, we see that Eve opened herself to the enemy’s visitation. She was unguarded against the serpent, and because of her carelessness, the devil was able to plant the seed of doubt into her heart.

The nature of the serpent’s question to Eve – asking clarifying questions about God’s instructions – shows that it was not the first time Eve would entertain a conversation with the serpent. The serpent and Eve may not have been having conversations around God’s instructions initially, but they most likely had been talking about matters that made it easy for Eve to divulge certain details and to engage in the conversation that later led to fall of mankind.

Boredom is one of the things that can cause a man to be unguarded. Protect your innocence. It is okay to be by yourself. Learn to enjoy your own company and don’t feel so starved of affection and attention that you seek them in the wrong places. Do not form alliances that will make you divulge critical information about your destiny to the wrong people.

I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.

I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
