Acts 4:13 NKJV
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.
Beloved,
Do not be deceived by this scripture. As much as Peter and John are described here as uneducated and untrained, have it in mind that they spent three solid years learning directly from the Messiah. But imagine if they had not. It would show, would it not? Beloved, do you know what it looks like when you choose not to go through training? Thank God for being chosen. Thank God for the anointing. To enjoy the fullness of those at work in your life, you must be willing to undergo the proper training. It is said that if you want to breathe out fire, you must breathe it in first; there are no shortcuts. And that is the word I want to get across to you today. There is no shortcut for you to truly become all God requires of you.
If you are a writer, you must go through the proper training or it’s a matter of time before what you write becomes easily overlooked; that is if you can even sustain the strength to continue writing at all. If you are a worship leader, you must still train under anointed worship leaders. You don’t want to get to the place God has prepared for you and not be at your best.
And once you start training, you must keep training. Those with professional licenses in any area of life must consistently go back to earn continuing education credits. Never stop learning. And never mistake your place of preparation for the place of performance, lest you fail at the game of life before it even starts for you.
Beloved, let your life and how you do the things of God be like that of John and Peter. Let it look like you have been with Jesus. If you want to become the best you possible, do not neglect the place of training in your life.
I commend you to God and the word of His grace.
I call you NATIONS. I call you blessed.
