2 Corinthians 3:17-18 NKJV
Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Beloved,
The next agent of change necessary for you to become all that you can be is what we will call the agent of the Spirit. The Spirit of God is transformational. He brings about a freedom that could never exist without Him. If you are bound by fear, bad habits, doubt or anything at all, the Spirit of God is there to set you free.
Just as indicated in Isaiah 61:1 and Luke 4:18, the Spirit of the Lord proclaims good news, mends broken hearts, and delivers people from slavery mentalities and darkness. When you give your life to Christ you have the privilege of surrendering your old life and all its baggage in exchange for the Spirit of the Lord! I think that’s a good deal. Don’t you? Take on His Spirit by yielding to His voice. Don’t quiet Him. That same voice that moves you to give your life to Christ; trust Him to take you all the way, no matter the sacrifice or seeming inconvenience. Trust Him to know what’s best for you. Feed your regenerated spirit by denying your flesh.
His Spirit is like a consuming fire. Allow Him to consume you and purge you until you are completely refined and renewed.
