Isaiah 43:19 NKJV
Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.
Beloved,
If you want to be part of the big picture, that is, part of God’s greater plan, you must learn to respect the small things of life. I like the way Mark the Evangelist put it:
Mark 4:30-32 NKJV
[30] Then He said, “To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? [31] It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; [32] but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade.”
Small things are like seeds, they must be sown. When you sow your seed, it will grow and eventually bear fruits. Respect the small things of life and be willing to go through the necessary process to see your seeds produce fruits.
Another thing you must be willing to do is give your heart and your hand. 2 Kings 10:15-16 gives us the following scenario to learn from:
II Kings 10:15-16 NKJV
[15] Now when he departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab, coming to meet him; and he greeted him and said to him, “Is your heart right, as my heart is toward your heart?” And Jehonadab answered, “It is.” Jehu said, “If it is, give me your hand.” So he gave him his hand, and he took him up to him into the chariot. [16] Then he said, “Come with me, and see my zeal for the Lord.” So they had him ride in his chariot.
Never open the doors of your heart to anyone whose heart is not right with you or with God. Anyone who gives you his heart will not be reluctant to give you his hand also; he will be more than willing to give you his hand which represents his strength and his commitment.
We will talk about a few more things we must master if we will be part of God’s bigger picture next time.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
