Ephesians 3:20
1 Now it came to pass when the king was dwelling in his house, and the LORD
had given him rest from all his enemies all around, 2 that the king said to
Nathan the prophet, “See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells inside tent curtains.”
Beloved,
Three major things every man must do in life are building an altar unto God, pitching a tent, and digging
a well. Psalm 132:1-5, Genesis 26:25.
An altar represents a place of intimacy between you and your God; a tent represents your family and a
well represents your business.
Today we will focus on building an altar to God. The scriptures reveal different men who built altars to
God. At some point in your journey, there must be your contribution to the altar of God. You must
consciously contribute to the building of something tangible in the kingdom. This must be done both
spiritually and physically. What you build must also be lasting; it should be handed over to your children.
When you see some people who enjoy a level of God’s commitment that is above others, do not be
deceived to think that it just happened. People earn God’s commitment by the sacrifices they have
made. No blessings come upon a man without a level of sacrifice that has been paid. Real blessing is
triggered by action and attitude. You provoke a blessing by the level of sacrifice that you pay. No matter
how busy life is and how limited your resources seem, be deliberate in building an altar for God. Many
of the things we feel obligated to do will not matter at the end of the day. However, the altar of God you
build will definitely speak for you when needed.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
