DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

Psalms 107:2 NKJV
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,

Beloved,

The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). Redemption is the divinely packaged authority made available to us by Christ’s loving sacrifice on the cross that delivers us from sin’s grip and absolves us of its consequences. Last time, we began a recounting of some components of redemption. Let’s let’s look at a few more:

6. Transformation of soul:  It is at this critical stage that your mind and thinking are being transformed. Like enforcement, this can only be achieved by discipleship.

7. Restoration:  Here God begins to bring back lost times, opportunities, and diverse kinds of things lost. This has to be enforced.

8. Access: It is at this point that God, through the work of the Holy Spirit, begins to grant us access to divine distributions such as graces and supernatural encounters with Himself.

9. Recruitment + Preparation for eternal life with Jesus: God begins to recruit you to join Him in His work. As He does so, He is preparing you for life with Him, forever. These, too, are achieved through discipleship.

Beloved, when you gave your life to Christ, yes, you were redeemed. But true redemption, like salvation, is not a one-time experience. It is an inheritance – one that you live out and take full advantage of, involving all of the steps mentioned above.  It is your fulfillment of all of the single steps or components of redemption that make you a sound believer. I want to highlight that discipleship is a critical component of the redemption process. When you trivialize the place of discipleship, you are rejecting elements of grace, a critical aspect of redemption that Jesus made available especially for you. And this is the primary level of demonstrating your trust in God and earning God’s trust in you when it comes to getting things done on the earth and fulfilling your destiny. May you enjoy grace to submit to divine process and enjoy every component and benefit of redemption in Jesus’ matchless name.

I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.

I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
