Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
Beloved,
God’s kingdom comes when His will is done on the earth as it is in heaven. It is as it is in heaven if when you cross check your experiences with what God has planned for you, there is no difference. The presence of God’s kingdom allows you to have every result you are supposed to have.
There are four kinds of will at play on the earth:
- The will of God. Ultimately, it is that all men be saved, 1 Timothy 2:4
- The will of the devil. He wants all men to perish, John 10:10.
- The will of man. This can be influenced by either God’s will or that of the devil, depending on what a people give allowance to. This includes such things as governmental policies and parental guidance.
- Your own will: It is the second most powerful will, next to that of God. And it is capable of distorting God’s plan if it does not align with God’s will since God will not always strive with man, Genesis 6:3. But it is wisdom for a man to yield his will to God.
Spiritual maturity and accuracy is necessary to properly discern the will God and to know when it is being done in your life, i.e., having as it is in heaven experiences, and what to do when this goal is not met. Next time, we will continue to learn more about God’s will, starting with the different ways they are revealed to us.
