Luke 22:28-30 NKJV
“But you are those who have continued with Me in My trials. And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me, that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.””
Beloved,
The kingdom of God is bestowed on those who continue with Him. In this Christian walk, there will be trials and tribulations. There will also be times you want to doubt yourself and your calling. You might even, whether consciously or not, be ready to doubt the God of your salvation. You might doubt that He called you or doubt that He is with you and such doubt will cause you to give up eventually. You cannot continue with a God you are struggling to trust in and suffer with.
Beloved, know that the devil is ready to do whatever it takes to make you give up before you receive the exceedingly great and precious promises your Father in heaven has for you. Please remember God loves you and He is always with you. Not only that, but He has promised you the kingdom.
Many times we forget that we are not running this race in vain and this is how many believers become weary in ‘well doing’. But the word of God reminds us through God’s servant, Paul the Apostle of the following:
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:58).
The Bible also instructs:
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Galatians 6:9).
The best way to go about your work with God is to walk with Him. As you walk with Him, it’s only a matter of time before you learn one of the most important things He desires all of His children to understand and believe:
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6).
My emphasis is on the latter part of this scripture. Know and believe that GOD IS A REWARDER. He did not call you to work in vain. So do like Paul said to the Philippians:
“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14).
Keep your mind on the glorious prize that is the kingdom God wants to bestow upon you through Christ Jesus and continue!
I commend you to God and the word of His grace.
I call you NATIONS. I call you blessed.
