2 Corinthians 10:4-5
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
Beloved,
Place priority on the leading of the Spirit more than the gift of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit is faithful to let you know when things are getting out of control. It is in that move of the Holy Spirit that you have discernment.
My father didn’t know how to pray in tongues, but his close relationship with God afforded him the grace for discernment. He will always know when I am about to get into trouble or playing with fire. In some cases, I was disciplined for my willful acts of disobedience as a youth, but beyond this, at night, he would read the Psalms over me, using it to pray for me. That alone at the time was enough to reset my brain. He made sure that the devil that was after boys around me didn’t have a place in my own life.
God is looking for parents that will take authority like that and not allow the enemy to take over their children. Raise your children well in the place of prayer and in understanding the things that matters the most in life.
