1 Samuel 16:1 NKJV
Now the Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel?
Beloved,
A professional athlete becomes one because he has learned to hear and yield to the voice and instruction of sound coaching. If a professional or aspiring professional will perform at his best, he requires proper coaching. Not just any coach will do; he will need the kind of coach with the demonstrated ability to support his handiwork with words of instruction, encouragement and motivation so that he can know how to play at his best.
If you will become all you can be under God, you must be willing to go through divine process and right training and you must be able and willing to hear the voices of those most critical to your destiny.
Our lives are both consciously and unconsciously open to words that can shape our lives for better or for worse. There are many voices that will arise in your life that you must consciously shut down because they will not contribute anything beneficial to your destiny in Christ. But there are some voices that must not keep quiet on you if you are to become a reference point for your generation. The voices you must be able to hear include:
- The voice of God
- The voice of your spiritual father
- The voice of your trainer
Your safety is determined by the right instruction and counsel you receive and yield to. In fact, you don’t ever want these voices to be silent over your life as it can be dangerous. Ensure that you regularly listen to these voices and obey them.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
