1 Corinthians 2:9 NLT
That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
Beloved,
Let’s consider some of the things we must discern, that belong to us, through Jesus’ name!
1. We must discern what is our service. Apostle Paul admonishes the following:
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” – Romans 12:1, NKJV
The entire chapter of Romans 12 focuses on our service to God. He explains how through Christ, we have everything we need for life and for Godliness (2 Peter 1:3). We are blessed with spiritual gifts and the opportunity to enjoy an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. There is something God has given you to serve Him with and to be of service to His servants and your brothers and sisters in Christ. You must know what it is. Pray and take every assignment given to you by the God- ordained authority in and over your life, and carefully govern yourself accordingly.
2. You must also be able to discern ever opportunity God has made available for you to establish you in and also to help increase you in the place of faith. The Bible tells us:
Hebrews 11:16
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him”.
It should be your pleasure to please the Lord if you consider yourself His child. It is your Heavenly Fathers’ desire to reward you. But rewards, by definition, are earned. Take your faith life seriously. Never allow yourself to become limited or complacent in the place of faith. Use it! Develop it! Please your Heavenly Father.
Beloved, as we said, what is yours is in your Heavenly Father. Spend time with Him. Enjoy His presence. This pleases Him. Why wouldn’t He want to give you all things? Take your time to take seriously the things of God; your time with Him, His will, as well as your identity in Him. Know Him. You must know that He is a rewarder (Hebrews 11:6). Discern when He is giving you, discern opportunities to enjoy His exceedingly great reward. If God rewarded everyone equally, He would be unfair. But the Bible tells us, He is a just God (Psalm 89:14).
There are things God has especially for you, but you’ll miss if you’re not attuned.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
