2 Timothy 1:13-14
“Hold on to the pattern of wholesome teaching you learned from me—a pattern shaped by the faith and love that you have in Christ Jesus. Through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives within us, carefully guard the precious truth that has been entrusted to you.”
Beloved,
We are still talking about sufficiency and how to enjoy it by making sure we don’t live a life of loss. Let’s look at some more areas we must be wary of lest the devil has his way.
Anger. All anger is not bad. But unrighteous, untamed anger can get you into serious trouble and make you lose everything God intended for you to have. The Bible says to be angry, but sin not (Ephesians 4:26). Untamed anger can transform into acts of sin. Ask Cain. Ask Moses. Anger-provoked sins will keep you from enjoying the sufficiency of God and lead you to lose the little you have. When your anger is unbridled, you can’t see or think clearly and you will act in ways that lead to loss.
Offense. Both anger and offense are extremely dangerous to your destiny. The distinction between anger and offense is that the latter causes you to shut down or dismiss important instructions and opportunities of gain. You can never gain or gather from the person you are offended at. This is a major way the devil robs you of what you ought to benefit from. Sadly, this one happens a lot in the church, and that is why it looks like so many believers are not prospering.
Don’t be so angry and offended that you lose out on what God has made available to you.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
