Psalms 131:1, CEV
“I am not conceited, Lord, and I don’t waste my time on impossible schemes.”
Beloved, have you ever wasted time on impossible tasks, bad habits, or foolishness? Like the psalmist, you must make up your mind not to live your life lackadaisically. I often tell my members, ‘life is too short to use for experiments’. In other words, you don’t have time to waste!
If you notice laziness or slothfulness in your life, bind that devil immediately! Have it in your mind that such characteristics are not reflective of the kingdom of God. The Bible says in Proverbs 18:9, “He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster”. You are a son of God. Don’t allow the devil to make you out to be otherwise. Bind every lazy and flippant spirit at once! Don’t just fold your hands, for “a fool folds his hands and wastes away” (Ecclesiastes 4:5 – GOD’S WORD Translation).
