Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
Beloved,
As a soldier of Christ, one of the battles you have been called to fight is the fight of faith. The way a believer fights is different from how the world does in that a believer fights from a position of victory. The battle has already been won; you are just to defend what is yours from God.
In a spiritual battle, the first thing the devil seeks is to disconnect you from the support accessible to you from heaven.
The fight of faith is one of the battles that will confront believers on the earth. There will times it seems there is a delay between your prophecy and its manifestation, and that delay is the fight of faith for a believer. Between the sound of abundance and the sight of it, a believer will have to fight the fight of faith. This fight has nothing to do with you as an individual, but it has to do with your process. You have to fight to keep your faith and you must do all to win that fight.
This fight is also the fight to defend the faith of the fathers, Jude 1:3. The faith of the fathers was what was handed down to you whole and unadulterated. Defend whatever makes Christianity to be Christianity. Keep the authenticity of faith and pass it on to the next generation. Don’t remove the pillars that supports the gospel. Don’t hand over diluted Christianity to people.
The church is the pillar and ground of truth. But we live in days of so much compromise and half-truths. People are no longer willing to hear the truth. What is right is what the world calls wrong and what is wrong is what the world is celebrating to be right, and sadly, this has crept into the church. Because people want to live in sin and to please themselves, they have begun to draft their own faith stories that will accommodate their excesses. Beloved, don’t allow compromise. Fight to preserve our true faith.
