1 Corinthians 10:23 | Amplified Classic
All things are legitimate [permissible-and we are free to do anything we please], but not all things are helpful (expedient, profitable, and wholesome). All things are legitimate, but not all things are constructive [to character] and edifying [to spiritual life].
Beloved,
If the devil cannot stop a man from discovering his destiny, he wants him to be passive about pursuing it. If the devil cannot succeed in killing a man’s passion for destiny, he wants to pervert his destiny with what I call life pollutions. There is a reality of life pollutions. The devil has many of them at hand and subtly infiltrates many lives with it to pervert their destiny.
Many things that eventually become life pollutions and turn out to hurt many destinies are practices that are not out rightly bad but which the devil hijacks. This is why it is important you separate what is good from what is right, and what is legitimate from what is expedient. For instance, it could be lawful (ideal) for you to get angry and fight when someone wrongly accuses of what you did not do, but then, you have to find out if it is expedient (wholesome). If you don’t, your right to be angry may become a pollution to your destiny.
The next few days we will be looking at some of these life pollutions and practical steps to be taken to avoid them.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
