Hebrews 4:3
For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said:
“So I swore in My wrath,
‘They shall not enter My rest,’ ”
although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Beloved,
One good thing about the Christian faith is the understanding of the truth that every event is already scripted, we are only playing it out. This truth does not spare us of carrying out our responsibility but rather strengthens us as we wait patiently until we see prophecies fulfilled. It also helps us to challenge anything that is contrary to what was scripted.
For instance, your healing has been scripted and it is finished—it is stated that by His stripes you were healed (1 Peter 2:24). So, you can challenge any condition in your body that is contrary to what was written. Another one is your peace—it has been scripted that the conclusion of every matter about you is peace (Psalm 37:37). This understanding helps you know that regardless of what is going on, the end of it and your future hold peace.
As we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection this year, I want us to see how Jesus’ life played out the reality of a finished work. Let this truth be an anchor your soul. He is risen as He said. Since He rose up as He said, you will rise up as He said. You will be all you are meant to be, just as He said.
