John 6:5-6 NKJV
Then Jesus lifted up His eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?” But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do.
Beloved,
Understand that perspective in crisis plays a huge role in your ability to both overcome and reap the harvest God has attached to your seasons of crises. It is important to understand the specifics of how to respond when crisis strikes so that you do not give the devil a chance to spoil your divine set-up.
Psalms 46:10 NKJV
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
First, you must learn to be mindful of your calmness. Again, this is one of the things the devil tries to fight against in crisis: the devil is always looking for an unguided hour so he can sow seeds that are anti-kingdom and make you more susceptible to the his manipulation. This easily happens when you determine your next steps in crisis based on your erratic emotions. God is always higher than every situation we go through, but we need to be still and quiet, even if it is not for a long duration of time, for us to see this and walk without our heads being bowed in the midst of storms.
For example, your confession is not fully subject to the regulation of your regenerated mind because again, crisis seeks to take away peace. However, your ability to monitor your confessions in crisis serves as an elevator that establishes your upward trajectory; it is even stronger than your prayers at this time. Thus, your calmness is a demonstration of your ability to maintain your peace and stillness that could help you make the right decisions. It is also a direct reflection of the confidence you have in the plans of God for your life. No matter how dreary the situation, never give up the confidence you have in God (Hebrews 10:25, Psalm 27:3). This is the foundation of success in a crisis.
Psalms 27:13 TPT
Yet I believe with all my heart that I will see again your goodness, Yahweh, in the land of life eternal!
Confidence in God must be complete, leaving no doubt or room for the devil. Confidence births hope that will see you through a crisis. If you do not have this, you are more defeatable when you go through tough seasons.
Next time, we will consider some fundamental truths to deploy early in crises to build our confidence in God’s supremacy over anything we go through.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
