Psalms 121:1-2 NKJV
[1] I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? [2] My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.
Beloved,
We established last time that a believer must not seek help outside of God. Whatever is not of God is of the devil. Any help the devil provides is a bait; it can lead to no good. If you will not run to other sources in times of trouble, you must take not of the following:
- Establish where to go long before a challenge comes. Decide that it is God or God. If this is not established, the devil through others will bring you alternative ideas, counsels, and offers.
- Never let the revelation of God reduce in your life. Anytime you see more of the problem, you will see less of God. Never let the magnitude of what you are going through prevent you from seeing the magnificence of God.
- Know the Lord by and for yourself. King Saul never took his time to build his relationship with God; he was always depending on the anointing upon Samuel. David on the other hand had a personal relationship with God; every time he came to a crossroad, he turned to God only for his deliverance.
Upgrade your relationship with God and your faith in Him to the level the three Hebrew men in Daniel 3 displayed. They were unafraid of what King Nebuchadnezzar would do to them. They were determined in the face of threats to their lives never to deny God. Because of their strong resolve, God showed up for them, and by their testimony, an entire nation turned to worshiping God. No matter what befalls you, know that God is in it with you, He will never leave you nor forsake you, so let your mind be at rest even if there is chaos on the outside. - Exercise your faith. Learn the principles of faith and deploy them in times of trouble. People want issues to be resolved immediately, but it is important to build capacity in the place of prayer and use of faith before trouble comes.
- Partner with the anointing when you don’t know what do. Run to the one who God has placed as a shepherd over you. Seek help from your local church because they are your spiritual family members.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
