Beloved,
The will of God is to work with men to establish His will on the earth, and one major set of people God desires to work with are believers in Christ. However, (on most part) He does not just work with believers because they are believers, He chooses to work with believers that provide for Him what He can work with. In this series, we will look at few things that God work with.
Heart. The first thing that God looks at in those He will work with is the heart. God will never bypass a sincere and contrite heart (Isaiah 51:4). God told Abram to walk before Him and be perfect. To be perfect in that context means to be sincere (Genesis 17:1). God is not primarily looking for someone who is perfect in the context of no sin or error; He is looking for those who will be sincere to say, “this is who I am.” He is looking for someone who will be sincere to admit his mistake and yield; someone who will do whatever he does with sincerity of heart.
Another way to look at the sincerity of heart is ‘integrity of heart’ (Genesis 20:6; 1 Kings 9:4). Such heart was the kind of heart that David had. It was the integrity of heart of David that made God say that David was the man after His heart (Acts 13:22). David’s greatest qualification was his heart (1 Samuel 16:7). I submit to you today that if you would work on having a right heart, you will see how God will work with you in this year.
