Beloved,
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Luke 6:38
As we see in the scripture above, giving is not without reward. By default, it results in increase and abundance and that is just the beginning! When God sees that He can trust in withholding nothing He’s entrusted to our care, there is nothing He will withhold from us!
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
Romans 8:32
We are made in God’s likeness and image. Immediately sin entered, we left God’s glorious presence in exchange for a darker more limited version of ourselves. That limited version of us is selfish by default.
For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic.
James 3:15, NLT
Once we are born again, our identity in Him is restored- that is until or if we choose not to be like Him. Jesus is our perfect example. Everything belongs to Him. He has the greatest identity and all authority. He surrendered all. He gave a worthy sacrifice, and He shows us in scripture His great reward- not only restoration to Lordship. But He loved us so much- His greatest desire was to ensure we would all be able to enjoy eternal life and reign with Him forever.
John 10:27-28
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any pluck them out of my hand.”
Beloved, Know God as a Rewarder. The Bible tells us:
Matthew 6:21
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Does Good truly have your heart? Do you really want to be more like Him? Do you truly love the Lord. Remember, He loved us so much He gave His only Son (John 3:16). Take a look at this final scripture for today:
John 14:15
“If you love me, keep my commandments.”
We cannot continue to say we love God, but we reject His offer to be more like Him. We cannot truly say we love Him and choose not to do as He says. and don’t do what He says. We cannot say we are Christians, yet we do not do what Christ does.
I commend you to God and the Word of His Grace. I call you blessed and nations.
