Romans 15:13 NKJV
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
Beloved,
What a privilege we have as believers- to be able to enjoy the kingdom of God on earth, now. Righteousness, peace and joy are the formula that make up His glorious kingdom. His love establishes it, forever (Romans 14:17). We only need to receive it. As we close out this Christmas Season, I want us to be conscious of our kingdom advantage.
Luke 2:14, NKJV
“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
Angels declared this when they recognized God’s kingdom on earth. Peace becomes the lifestyle and culture of ordinary men who are fully surrendered to God’s will.
The Bible says:
Philippians 4:6
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
It pains me to see people who profess Jesus as their Lord and Savior seeking peace outside of Him. The prophet Isaiah informed us ahead of time:
Isaiah 9:6
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given… and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace”
If Jesus is the Prince of Peace, why look for peace anywhere else?
1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 NLT
“Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful.”
When you operate from a place of peace, the devil is powerless against you. Peace is the combination of faith and patience. Reading, speaking, and obeying God’s words builds our faith in him; deepens our understanding of him and it increases your reliance on him. Enjoy the peace of God at work in your life for eternity and Merry Christmas to all!
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
