Such a large crowd of witnesses is all around us! So we must get rid of everything that slows us down, especially the sin that just won’t let go. And we must be determined to run the race that is ahead of us.

Today, I want to talk to you about something the Spirit of the Lord has impressed on my mind recently. It is about how to guard against demonic pull. I will have you know that as much as God is working, the devil too is working. Your responsibility is to ensure that you allow the workings of God and disallow the workings of the devil.
Whether you know it or not, there are evil spiritual forces that seek to pull down believers. Imagine a magnet, there is an invisible force field around it at all times. Simply put, any piece of iron that gets into the force field will be pulled. The ability of the piece of iron to resist the pull will depend on its size, how close it gets to the magnet, the strength of the magnet, and what the iron is anchored to. The effect of demonic pull on the life of a man is very similar to the effect a magnet has on a piece of iron.
To guard against demonic pull, the first thing you must do is identify the pull. You must also know how strong the pull is, how strong you are to resist the pull, and who and what you are joined to that can provide a counter pull. You must identify those things you are susceptible to and make sure you do not allow the devil to pull you down through them. As we continue in this series, we will look at the major tools of demonic pull and how to guard against them.
