Luke 11:24-26 NLT
“When an evil spirit leaves a person, it goes into the desert, searching for rest. But when it finds none, it says, ‘I will return to the person I came from.’ So it returns and finds that its former home is all swept and in order. Then the spirit finds seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they all enter the person and live there. And so that person is worse off than before.”
Beloved, get your house in order! Don’t be deceived, that you get rid of some things and sweep doesn’t make your house is clean. You will need to arrange some things lest the devil comes and arrange it for you.
I said the last time, that the devil always goes to “dry” land looking for where to rest and reside. So once you get rid of the devil, you can’t leave that area of your life dry. In the medical field, they teach you how to clean very well. There are things you put in place to either disinfect or sterilize and keep the place safe from returning germs. In your house, if you don’t use and freshen certain places, they will attract dust, molds, and other allergens.
What are the things in your life that you must keep safe from returning demons? Make sure you are doing what will keep every area of your life fresh. Do not allow your marriage to get dry! Don’t let it be that all your kids know you for is barking commands. Don’t be a dry parent! Put activities and structures in place to secure your borders! How? you ask. In addition to filling every area of your life with God’s word, you must learn and develop the habit of cultivating an atmosphere where Jesus will always want to dwell.
