Mark 1:17-18, TPT
17 and said to them, “Come follow me and I will transform you into men who catch people instead of fish!” 18 Immediately they dropped their nets and left everything behind to follow Jesus.
Beloved,
You’ve seen those Christians whose lives look like God must love them much more than other Christians? You wonder what qualifies them for such favor. As much as it might look like they are receiving preferential treatment, the truth is that God does not love one person more than any other person. He loves us all equally and eternally. The distinction in Christian experiences and outcomes lays in how much we demonstrate our love to Him. The ability and willingness to pay the high price of living a life that is totally poured out for God and His Kingdom is what separates our experiences and outcomes in life as Christians.
Love is sacrifice. God is love and He proved it by sacrificing His very Self, His only begotten Son so you can enjoy eternity with Him, because He loves you that much.
Beloved, what are you willing to give up in order to grow with God? If you are saved and in search of life experiences that are more aligned with the covenant promises of God, examine and evaluate your demonstration of love to Him. He is the God of your salvation. Show Him that you value what He has done for you by your willingness to give up what is convenient for you in exchange for a life that He can proudly use for His glory. We will cover more tomorrow.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
