17 and said to them, “Come follow me and I will transform you into men who catch people instead of fish!” 18 Immediately they dropped their nets and left everything behind to follow Jesus.
Beloved,
Salvation is free! Praise God that the opportunity to forego hell, despite our flaws and mistakes can literally cost us nothing. But this salvation is not just about escaping hell. It’s more about embracing the fullness of God’s love for you and all mankind. You’re saved for a purpose, by a God who is a rewarder to those who demonstrate a diligence in connecting with Him. All that said, if you’d like to enjoy all the benefits that come with your salvation package, it will cost you. Be ready to pay with the total surrender of your will. Are you willing and ready to pay that kind of a price? If you fully understand the benefits of this, I think you would.
Beloved, If you want to live a life of relevance, one that makes the most of everything salvation has to offer you on this side of eternity, you must be willing to surrender everything and embrace the will of the Father. Be ready to pay with the conveniences and pleasures you have enjoyed or desire to enjoy in exchange for life in and for the kingdom of God- something costly, yes, but it also comes with benefits beyond your wildest dreams.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
