Beloved,
As we continue to look into the things that causes men to fall from destiny, I want you to bear in mind that God will lift you up this new year, but it is your responsibility to ensure the avoidance of those things that cause men to fall from grace to grass.
In order to avoid the fall of destiny, another important thing to avoid is the completion of chain of events that eventually causes a fall. From Genesis 3, we established that the serpent came to deceive Eve. Verse 6 says,
Genesis 3:6 NKJV
So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.
Eve not only ate the fruit, she also gave it to Adam and he ate it. It was at this point that the fall of man became a concluded matter. Casting our minds back to when God rejected the offering of Cain, Cain became very upset, and God asked him to watch it. If at the point God warned him to be careful, he corrected his attitude, he would not have continued to sin. He could have prevented the completion of his fall, but he gave in to the anger within, and that led him to the sin of murder.
There will always be divine intervention from God that if yielded to, will preserve you from the fall the enemy was planning. Divine intervention will come as divine signals that you should yield to. Nobody backslides overnight. There would have been some types of divine intervention that came to them that were rejected.
So beloved, don’t be the type that is insensitive to divine signals. God is faithful to bring caution to us when we are about to err. We must yield to that caution of the Holy Spirit, so we can be preserved.
