2 Peter 1:4
Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

Another thing you inherit is the divine nature. Imagine that diabetes runs in your family. Taking on the divine nature means you can get rid of your old nature and everything that came with it- including the diabetes and other hereditary illnesses, addictions, and the like. You then have a chance to take on a new nature. One that is divine. One that is like Christ.
If you have made the decision to give your life to Christ then you have made the decision to exchange every weakness and deficiency for the sufficiency that is in Christ Jesus.
Don’t choose to stay bound to your natural life when you have a supernatural advantage. Tap into your divine nature and enjoy God-kind of life.
