Genesis 22:14
And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”
Beloved,
The provision of God is a proof of God’s love and a statement to the devil that God cares for you and is committed to you. God’s provision streams from:
– His willingness to give to you.
– The covenants He has made with you.
– His preparations for you.
God’s willingness to give is fueled by His love. God is intentional about and mindful of every creation of His. Have you ever wondered why God made plants before animals? Why did God create the sun before the plants? Why did God create all these before making man? The answer to all these questions is that God is intentional. Before God made you, everything you will ever need has been provided for.
A believer’s need is a matter of covenant. Your needs are bound to be met by the covenant streams and ways through which God provides, such as:
– His word, 2 Peter 1:2-4.
– His favor, Exodus 3:20-22, 12:35.
– Your revelation of God, Genesis 21:15-19.
Genesis 22:14 is a statement of affirmation and confidence. Receiving from God will be on the strength of your confidence in Him. You cannot rely on just your income to meet your needs because no matter the increase of your income, your needs will soon catch up to it. Beloved, If you won’t be frustrated in life, you must subscribe to the system of provisions that God has put in place to meet your needs.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
