“It will be a sign and a witness that the Lord of Heaven’s Armies is worshiped in the land of Egypt. When the people cry to the Lord for help against those who oppress them, he will send them a savior who will rescue them.”
Beloved,
A savior is a deliverer. Such was Moses. Moses along with other Old Testament prophets, kings and priests demonstrate God’s commitment to always send help to His children in time of need.
Jesus is The Savior, but men and women after God’s heart who preceded our King, introduced, and prepared us to enjoy the deliverance component of the ministry of Jesus. Such people carried God’s heart for the people of God and were ready to do what God required of them to get the job done. Jesus demonstrated the ministry of deliverance perfectly and made it so that our deliverance through Him is always complete and perfect.
If you are born again, God heard your cry and delivered you from your sins. How is that deliverance working for you today? If needed, receive it! Jesus the Savior has not stopped working for you. Deliverance is always there for you.
I also challenge you. As surely as His salvation has not stopped working for you, He has also called you to do greater things. You can be a deliverer in your sphere of influence, like Moses. Introduce people to Jesus the Savior and let them be freed from whatever bondage they are in. Develop God’s heart for His people.
