Genesis 2:15 NKJV
Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.
Beloved,
The act of keeping is one of the strongest responsibility every human being must carry out on the earth. The qualification for receiving something, such as deliverance, is not as important as the qualifications one must have in place to keep or maintain it. In today’s episode, I would like us to consider the importance and requirements for maintaining a thing.
A man who cannot keep things must be ready to face the consequences of the devil’s ministry. What is Satan’s ministry but to steal, kill and destroy? If you are not careful to protect and preserve what God has given you, you will leave enough opportunity for Satan to use at least one of his tactics to strip you of what is rightfully yours.
The danger of not keeping what you have is that you may not be able to get it back if you lose it. God has given us the tools necessary to keep what He has given us. One of the most important things He has given us His word. His word is filled with grace. The Bible says this:
John 1:14 NKJV
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Not only is His word filled with the grace to accomplish what we could never do on our own, His word is filled with His great and precious promises. It includes prophecies, instructions, and power.
Hebrews 4:12 NKJV
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a “discerner” of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
We will discuss more “keeping agents” tomorrow.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
