Romans 13:1-2
“Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.”
Beloved,
To establish kingdom governance, you must be equipped with the following tools for governance:
- Ministry. A ministry is handed over to one who is a steward in God’s kingdom. To run a ministry, many skills and tools are required. These tools will be supplied by God as you do the work of ministry. All that is required from you is obedience and willingness to God’s will God’s way.
- Church. God uses the church to nurture and establish believers. As long as you are joined to the right church, it is there your formation takes place.
- Love. This is what governs the kingdom of God. By this shall all men know that we are disciples of God, when we love each other, John 13:35.
- Prayer. This is the platform by which we legislate, command, and establish the victory of God over our territories.
Prayer is the key to engaging most of the tools listed above. Pray regularly over your spirit. Pray for God’s kingdom to come by His will being established in your life and circumstances. Build your prayer life around God’s needs, not yours. Let God trust you with the burden of intercession. This will come automatically when you have a big heart and genuine love for God’s people.
To improve your prayer life:
- Have a solid conviction about prayer and what it is meant to achieve in a believer’s life.
- Have a personal and consistent time of prayer.
- Don’t pray haphazardly, go before God with an agenda.
- Keep a prayer memo to track when God grants answers.
- Pray more in the spirit to build your spirit man.
- Be accountable to someone who can supervise and correct your errors, so you don’t pray amiss or miss your time of prayer.
Prayerlessness is a life-threatening attack. Lack of prayer today inevitably is victory lost tomorrow. If you pray ahead, you will never be afraid of whatever the evil day will bring or will befall men on the earth. More importantly, it is in prayer that we bring the kingdom of heaven down to superimpose on what we see happening on the earth.
