“Let all things be done decently and in order.”
Beloved,
Leadership is the capacity to influence others through inspiration. Correct leadership is motivated by passion, it is generated by a vision, it is produced by conviction, and it is ignited by a sense of purpose. In right leadership, there is nothing like forcing or coercing people to get things done.
A leader’s job is to motivate and influence others to commit to a goal by taking achievable and actionable steps. This requires the leader to have and be able to clearly communicate his vision. What does success look like? What are the expected outcomes? How do all stakeholders benefit? These questions will be answered when correct leadership is in place. Those being led should be able to see value and purpose along with a clear path to success as well as clear instructions or expectations. Any time you see a person holding back in the place of service, it is because they are not convinced yet.
Beloved, where have you been called to lead? Where must you step up in the place of leadership. True leadership goes beyond title and into the realm of stewardship and service. A key indicator that one lacks leadership skills is that there is a stronger emphasis on who they are and what they gain or desire to gain. There is more emphasis on output than there is on the people being asked to put out. Leaders lead people, not products. The true victory is a motivated people who have earned your trust and loyalty and who have developed a passion to fulfill the mission in question. In the next write up, we will talk more about the leaders’ role and what gets in the way of true leadership.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
