Hebrews 10:24 NKJV
“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,”
Beloved,
You are loved in abundance. The Bible tells us so and wisdom demands you believe and receive it for two reasons:
- It’s the premise of our faith. God is love and He literally sent Himself by way of His only begotten Son to die, so that we might live. Whoever cannot receive this, cannot receive salvation.
- Everything God does and gives leads to abundance, including the love He has graciously bestowed upon us. If we do anything less than replicate and share God’s love, we are wasting and cheating ourselves and others as it pertains to this supernatural, life-giving and life-sustaining resource called the love of God.
The Bible tells us this:
1 John 4:11 NIV
Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
How have you shown love to your brothers and sisters in Christ recently? The “how” of the love you express matters.
Matthew 25:40 NIV
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
The Bible also says:
Colossians 3:13-15 NKJV
bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
The love of God is selfless and requires selflessness. When we love, we don’t withhold. We do it as unto the Lord. Next time, we will talk about the benefits of us loving one another as Christ loves us.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
