Hebrews 10:24 NKJV
“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,”
Beloved,
We have been talking about the importance of love among us. God’s love is intended to be both received and displayed among us. Love everyone. After all, Christ died for everyone. But for now, let us focus on the love that is to be among us, that is, among brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. When you display and enjoy Christ’s love among your fellow believers, you are not you are obeying God’s command.
John 13:34 NKJV
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
Failure to follow God’s commandments will always result in serious consequences. Let’s keep reading:
John 13:35 NKJV
By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
When you are proactive about demonstrating God’s love, you look more like your Savior. But there are even more benefits. The correct practice of love promotes oneness.
Philippians 2:1-2 NKJV
Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
It is this oneness that helps draw men to Christ. Furthermore, it pleases the Father.
Another benefit we enjoy as believers is that expressing Christ’s love lightens your darkness. As you do for others, you display the light of the Father, of which you are a first partaker.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
