Ephesians 4:30 NLT
“And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.”
Beloved,
The Holy Spirit is wonderful and a comfort, but if handled poorly, He is a consuming fire. The Bible says,
The Lord your God is a devouring fire; he is a jealous God.
Deuteronomy 4:24 NLT
It’s a dangerous thing to be a child of God and to refuse or ignore the leading and help of the Holy Spirit. In fact, the worst sin you can commit is the sin against Him (Matthew 12:32, Acts 7:21).
The worst attitude you can have is the one that makes you neglect the Holy Spirit. Beware of pride. Beware of busyness. Beware of everything that does not make you sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. If you dismiss the Holy Spirit’s counsel even once, it’s a matter of time you will develop an attitude that makes you comfortable ignoring Him and this leads to an attitude that provokes the most dangerous of sins.
Such an attitude will make life on this side of eternity very inconvenient for you. Please abide in the Holy Spirit and allow Him to abide and work with you. Do not grieve Him. Do not sin against Him.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
