DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

Psalm 125:1-3, NKJV

Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the LORD surrounds His people From this time forth and forever. For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous, lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity.

God knows how to protect and preserve His interests. You are His interest and He is passionately committed to keeping you in perfect peace.

The Lord will protect them and preserve their lives; He will make them happy in the land; he will not abandon them to the power of their enemies.
Psalms 41:2, NKJV

God, in all of His wisdom, has orchestrated systems and structures to keep us safe from the attacks of the devil. We only need to abide in said structures, like a fortified city. These structures are mountainous designs that serve as enforcements to keep you standing firmly in place, unshakeable, and unmoved by the affairs of this life as you pursue your destiny in Christ Jesus. In our last write-up we reviewed the following mountains:

– The mountain of favor
– The mountain of your destiny team
– The mountain of integrity + uprightness

Today, I introduce to you the mountain of covenant prophecies. Jesus Christ is the Word of God. He is Prophecy Fulfilled. He is the Amen of God and He is the Truth that came to fulfill and fully manifest the covenant we have with God. When you enter into covenant relationship with Christ Jesus AND confess His word and promises concerning your life habitually, then you are safe. Master the art of treating His word like the enforcer it is.

I heard someone talking about how sad it is that there are people who take the Bible so seriously though it was written by mere men. The person described the Bible as poetic and beautifully written- a great work of art. I pity the person and pray he gets a revelation of the power of the word of God before he will need it to save His life. It is when we treat God’s word as the final say that we are safe. In it abides the covenant we have with God and all of His great and precious promises. In fact, the Bible says this:

Nevertheless, I will remember My covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you. And I will establish My covenant with you. Then you shall know that I am the LORD,
Ezekiel 16:60,62 NKJV

The way to truly know a person is through the clarity and reliability of their word. May the covenant promises of God reveal to you everything you must know about His person and personality in Jesus’ mighty name. May God always remember the covenant He has with you and keep you firmly established in it as only His sweet Holy Spirit can do in the matchless name of Jesus.

Beloved, covenant keeps you safe. It is your blessed assurance. God provides us with His covenant promises because He knows what you must endure as well as all that will try to discourage you from keeping your appointment with destiny. Satan will do anything to help you doubt God. But if you know your deliverance is sure, if you know your salvation is sure, and if you are very sure that the victory is already won, then you will fight with confidence.

I reminded my members recently that the devil is the defeated foe. His attack is sure, do not be deceived, for he is interested in everything God is interested in. But his attack can only go as far as your ignorance or vulnerability. This is why you must hold the promises of God near and dear to your heart. You must be very aware of, and committed to walking in your covenant and promises. In fact, surround yourself with them, like the mountains that surround Jerusalem. Jehovah Shalom, the God of All Peace is sure to keep you safe and in perfect peace.

I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.

I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
