Psalm 125:1-3, NKJV
Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the LORD surrounds His people From this time forth and forever. For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous, lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity.
Beloved,
It is imperative that you surround yourself with wisdom. The Bible describes wisdom as a perfect blend of common sense and discernment (Proverbs 3:21, NLT). There are three reasons the mountain of wisdom must be securely in place in your life:
1. Like faith, it serves as a barrier to fear and anxiety. Wisdom allows you to put your attention and confidence in God and the path He has paved for your destiny. Wisdom tells you victory is sure because you are in Christ Jesus.
2. Wisdom allows you to “count the cost” (Luke 14:21). It doesn’t let you act on a whim because it gives you a standard for decision-making. In other words, it lets you make decisions with a clear mind. This keeps you from unnecessary stumbling, which invariably keeps you safer.
3. Wisdom leads you directly to God. The Bible says this: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Proverbs 10:27. This leads to long life.
Proverbs 3:21-27 counsels us to understand the power of wisdom as it implores us to put it to work for us that we might keep ourselves safe from the dangerously demonic force of folly, that is, unnecessary mistakes and wastage of time. It is my prayer that, as the scripture encourages, you will seek wisdom and hold on to it, guarding it as a woman would her very expensive pearls.
Wisdom is not a culmination of worldly knowledge. It’s something more:
However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory,
1 Corinthians 2:6-7, NKJV
May the Wisdom of our eternal Father speak for you and keep you forever safe in the the loving will and presence of the Father through Christ His Son and our Lord, in Jesus mighty name.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
