Matthew 7:24-27, NIV
Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.
Beloved,
Something else you must know about the word of God as a pillar in God’s kingdom is that it attracts the commitment of God. Jeremiah 1:12 tells us this:
Jeremiah 1:12
Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.”
Psalm 138 makes it clear to us that God, Almighty exalts His word above His many names. When you are looking for something in life, check His word! If you see it in the scripture and understand it correctly, meditate on it and apply it liberally! You are sure to attract the commitment of God to your life. Even if you aren’t the best person, He is good and He honors His word. To God be the glory!
His word is how salient doctrine is established on this side of eternity. His word forms the basis of Christian doctrine AND the governing laws of His kingdom, Titus 1:9.
His word is the only reason it can be “… on earth as it is in heaven”.
Now, how do you ensure this pillar is firmly established in your life? Let’s look at these three steps:
1. Hear the word of God.
2. Eat it.
3. Do it.
Jeremiah 15:16.
Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart;…
Beloved, if you want to live a fulfilled life, hear the word of God. Meditate on it. Do it.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
