Pillars VI: The Holy Spirit
Now having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed or with a visible display; ²¹nor will people say, ‘Look! Here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ For the kingdom of God is among you [because of My presence].”

Beloved,
We have established that Jesus is the firm foundation (1 Corinthians 3:11) upon which God’s Kingdom is founded. He is the living, breathing word of God who manifested in the flesh, 1 Timothy 3:16. We established His word as the second pillar- the pillar upon which worlds are famed, Hebrews 11:3. Today we will discuss another pillar. This pillar helps us to live like Jesus and illuminates God’s word for us. This pillar is the Holy Spirit.
Where there is no Holy Spirit, there is no order. The Holy Spirit is the pillar that maintains order. He, at work in us, helps us to do what we could never do by our limited flesh. He helps us to act and respond exactly as Christ would if He was in our situation. Our God is a God of order and He has made available to us His Spirit so that we can truly live in dominion like He created us for. Any time you want to bring order to your life, make room for God’s Spirit.
Another function of the Holy Spirit is that He creates the right atmospheres. He creates the atmosphere needed for us to confess Jesus as Lord and Savior. He creates the atmosphere it takes for you to hear God’s word. He creates the atmosphere it takes for you to speak and confess the word of God with God-given authority. The Holy Spirit illuminates God’s word for you. He helps you see what God is saying and moves you to invoke it.
Any time you see disorderliness, and you are a child of God, check your relationship with Christ and His word. If those are in order, ask the Holy Spirit to go to work! With word and worship of the only wise God, you have what it takes to set the atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to get to work. We will talk more about the Holy Spirit and the importance of this pillar as well as the process of ensuring the pillar remains forever at work in your life.
