Proverbs 12:24
“The hand of the diligent will rule, but the lazy man will be put to forced labor.”
Beloved,
If you will not find yourself on the outskirts of life, develop a routine and commitment to a structure that is most fitting for your growth, development and maintenance. Last time we discussed obeying the law of work.
2 Thessalonians 3:10
“For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.”
The only difference between working and toiling is wisdom. You must work wisely and in accordance with the structure God and assignment and help God has given you. Finally, we looked at having the right mindset as it pertains to the work set before you. Your diligence to work indicates your revelation of God as Rewarder (Hebrews 11:6). Have faith that if He entrusted the work into your care, He will see you through it, equip you and reward you accordingly. You only need to obey and follow through. As we note what we must do to be and remain productive according to the standards of God’s glorious kingdom- we must include self evaluation and proper assessment.
Always assess. Take your time to see how the Lord has helped you thus far so that you will not be weary in well doing. the Bible says in Psalm 20:7, “Some trust in chariots and some trust in horses, but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.”
Praise God for everything and everyone He has used to help you over time. If it was the right kind of help, it came from God. Let that be your strength and confidence- that the one who has kept you and helped you all this while, will continue to do so.
Assess your help and how you have received it. Assess your productivity level and identify where improvement is needed. Are you doing the right work the right way? What is keeping you from moving forward with all diligence? What is distracting you from productivity. Why? What will you do about it? What is at stake?
As far as God’s kingdom is concerned, our productivity is a matter of personal discipline. He grace is already available to us. His presence is there, too. It is in His word:
Philippians 2:13- “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.”
Joshua 1:9- “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
His presence is certain, even if we cannot feel Him. If you look at your life and are troubled at the condition of your productivity, troubleshoot to uncover the root cause or better ways of doing things.
Lamentations 3:40- “Let us search out and examine our ways and turn back to the Lord.
2 Corinthians 13:5 – “Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.
Do not give up. Go back and assess. Seek counsel from your God ordained pastor or discipler and get back to work. Do not be weary in well doing. Be open to feedback and enjoy God’s grace and presence to get back on track.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
